Keeping in Contact

Hey everyone....well I finally decided what I wanted to do with my life...(well at least for the next year)...I am going to central China in a city called Wuhan (in the province of Hubei) to teach conversational English. I am going to be teaching at the high school level and I am so excited what else the Lord has planned for this year. I will be gone 10 to 12 months and I leave August 25!!!! Crazy...Yes; totally random...yes; trusting in God's guidance...oh yes.

How this all came about is an amazing story... i was hooked up with this opportunity through a guy named Adam Carpenter. He and his wife had taught in China for two years and they just started their own non-profit organization to make these connections overseas...and then he tells people like me. Everything has been provided through Adam and the school in China. The school gives me free housing and $650 a month. Since everything is so cheap in China...650 a month is going to be plenty for food and travel.

I teach about 10 classes...each class is 45min long...and each class is about 75 students...so I am going to have about 750-1000 students!!! Now that is scary! I am going with two very good friends from Azusa Pacific; it will be nice to have some familiar faces always with me.

I am going to use this blog so I can keep friends and family updated with notes, pictures and video of my experience. That is about all for now. I deeply covet your prayers.
